#47/365 Behind the Trees

My first attempt at moon photography. It was a very clear night and I know that the moon would set behind a close mountain with trees on top. I’ve used my Sigma 100-300mm with a 1.4 extender giving me around 420mm and thanks to the 21MP, I was able to crop it tight.

#45/365 Strike!

I was planning again to shoot star trails tonight but I changed plans… :)

I shot this picture just about 30 minutes later than yesterday’s shot but it’s quite different – isn’t it?

#44/365 After The Sun Was Gone

I went to a Astronomy Summer class with my kids and just brought my fast 85mm f/1.2 portrait lens. After the Sun went down, the light went from good to awesome and I wanted to do a wide-angle shot of that church so I shot around 20 frames and stitched it together using the awesome Photoshop CS5 “Photo-Merge” option. I was obviously shooting in manual mode and didn’t realize that my shutter speed went pretty slow at 1/25 so a few of the frames were blurry but I got enough together to create the final image.

#43/365 Foot Locker

Did an early morning shoot today to not run into the same problems as yesterday and I’m glad I did… :)

#42/365 Portrait Session

Oh well, it was a heck of a busy day and I was desperately looking for subjects right before midnight to get something for my 365 project. We got that Teddy Bear as a present from my co-workers for our son’s birth and as he (the bear :) ) couldn’t run away or complain, I misused him, grabbed my Ray-Flash adapter and the 100mm Macro and shot him. He is still doing fine, btw :)

#39/365 Fleeing the Heat

The weather forecast announced a very hot day with temperatures around 35C or 95F so we went up to the mountains.
