Collision Course

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is one of America’s leading historic, cultural and educational institutions. Opened in 1982, the Museum has welcomed more than 10 million visitors. The Museum is centered on the aircraft carrier Intrepid (CVS-11), one of the most successful ships in US history, and now a national historic landmark and one of the most unique attractions in New York City. In 1943, Intrepid was commissioned and served proudly in World War II. She went on to serve as one of the primary recovery vessels for NASA, three tours of duty off Vietnam, and submarine surveillance in the North Atlantic during the Cold War. Today she continues her service as a premiere educational center and a monument to all who have served our nation in uniform. Source: http://www.intrepidmuseum.org

After The Storm at Cape Cod

Bad weather is a photographers best friend.

We went to Cape Cod in June 2009 for a couple of days and a heavy thunderstorm rushed through the area one day right before sunset, it was really nasty with lighting, hail and the whole nine yards, but after it passed-by, the magic started to happen.

My 365 Project is still alive but not here…

In case you wondered why I stopped updating my 365 entries on my blog – here is why:

I was using my Flickr feed to to post those pictures and I simply didn’t want to clutter it with all those daily photographs that do not always match the quality that I would like. I’m therefore using a dedicated web-site for 365 projects called: http://365project.org – how obvious.. ;)

I’m already at day 109 and this is my latest entry:
#109 Angel on 365 Project

#9/365 Row 19 for June 10, 2010

This is a picture I took in the St Oswald church in Zug over lunch. It’s a tonemapped HDR that I created out of 6 exposures.

I added two additional shots from the same church to my Flickr page. Click them to view large.

This is an alternate version of the main picture but in a non-HDR version (for all the HDR haters :) )
