Even though it doesn’t look like it, I shot this with the Canon 15mm Fisheye and fixed the distortion in Lightroom. I created it out of 9 bracketed exposures shot on a tripod. Exact location – St. Oswald Kirche, Zug, Switzerland: I went to a Astronomy Summer class with my kids and just brought my fast 85mm f/1.2 portrait lens. After the Sun went down, the light went from good to awesome and I wanted to do a wide-angle shot of that church so I shot around 20 frames and stitched it together using the awesome Photoshop CS5 “Photo-Merge” option. I was obviously shooting in manual mode and didn’t realize that my shutter speed went pretty slow at 1/25 so a few of the frames were blurry but I got enough together to create the final image. |
