My first attempt at moon photography. It was a very clear night and I know that the moon would set behind a close mountain with trees on top. I’ve used my Sigma 100-300mm with a 1.4 extender giving me around 420mm and thanks to the 21MP, I was able to crop it tight.
I was planning again to shoot star trails tonight but I changed plans… I shot this picture just about 30 minutes later than yesterday’s shot but it’s quite different – isn’t it?
It’s still raining here in Switzerland with no end in sight. This spring (or is it supposed to be Summer) really s…cks big time. I shot this picture in the early morning while it was raining hard.
Due to the heavy rain, there was almost no contrast in the scene so I really had to pull the Lightroom sliders to their limits. See below for the Before (RAW file) and After Light was horrible but I knew I wouldn’t have time to shoot later in the day so I worked with what I got -> horrible light. Due to the fact that the sun was still quite high I decided to include some sun-flares that should hit the rock near the water.
