This picture would not have been possible without HDR. The road was heavily lit by the street lamps while everything else was almost pitch dark. You can even see the stars in the sky. Exif Info:
My first attempt at moon photography. It was a very clear night and I know that the moon would set behind a close mountain with trees on top. I’ve used my Sigma 100-300mm with a 1.4 extender giving me around 420mm and thanks to the 21MP, I was able to crop it tight.
The weather forecast announced a very hot day with temperatures around 35C or 95F so we went up to the mountains.
I shot this picture from the balcony of our house shortly after the full-moon showed up above the mountain range:
The Sun is back – I can’t believe it….
I had not much time to shoot so I just pulled over on my drive home and grabbed that shot of this lonely bench.
It’s still raining here in Switzerland with no end in sight. This spring (or is it supposed to be Summer) really s…cks big time. I shot this picture in the early morning while it was raining hard.
Due to the heavy rain, there was almost no contrast in the scene so I really had to pull the Lightroom sliders to their limits. See below for the Before (RAW file) and After This is the same lake as seen in #13/365 but at totally different lighting conditions and in the early morning. In order to get enough light on the foreground without blowing out the quite bright overcast sky, I shot 3 bracketed exposures at f/22, ISO50 which gave me fairly long shutter-speeds to smoothen the water. I’ve used the HDR Pro feature in Photoshop CS5 this time to tone-map the HDR. The main reason I chose PS over Photomatix was the much better ghosting removal feature which I need for the leafs.
